At Chăm Film, how we film matters as much as what ends up on screen. We follow international ethical guidelines for natural history filmmaking to the letter. Distance is kept with infrared camera traps, 600mm telephoto lenses and noise reduced drones whatever can be reached from far away is never approached up close. At the first sign of stress in an animal, the crew stops rolling, even if it is the moment we have waited weeks for. Before release, GPS coordinates of endangered species are stripped from the film. No shot is beautiful enough to be worth handing poachers a map.
